People say they will never fly with Qantas again because the company changed their logo on Facebook

The airline has weathered some struggles lately. But this is apparently the last straw for some.

Qantas has suffered loads of issues lately.

Whether it's planes frequently being turned around, luggage being lost, flights being cancelled, and more, the carrier is struggling to get a positive news story.

But, despite all of the above, they've officially gone one step too far for some customers.

The company has infuriated travellers by changing their logo. And no, it's not a huge change.

It's still the kangaroo symbol, but it's had a bit of a makeover for World Pride coming to Sydney.

The logo now boasts the colours of the LGBTIQ+ and trans flags.

After uploading their snazzy new symbol on social media, infuriated travellers flooded the comments section to slam the change.

One social media user said: "I don’t think I’d trust an airline that thinks that two screws or two nuts can work."

Another added: "Get woke and go broke! I really have loved Qantas as a great Australian international carrier but I'm really struggling with them losing touch with Australia and being a business who just gets on with the job they were created to do. Forget the political agendas of today and even block out your shareholders for a season or two and focus on the basics."

Delays? Lost baggage? Cancelled flights? Flights that don't make it to your destination? Nah fam, it's the LGBTIQ+ logo that has ended some.

A third piped up with: "Just decided to fly with an airline other than Qantas for the first time in 25 years."

A fourth wrote: "I'm proud to not use this airline."

Yep, apparently a rainbow flag is just a step too far for some.

However, furious and homophobic customers are the least of the airliner’s real concerns.

Last week, Qantas reached out to former staff who had quit or had taken redundancies to beg them to return to the flying kangaroo.

The shoutout to former staff appeared on the Flight Attendants’ Association of Australia private Facebook group, which was then shared with Sydney’s 2GB radio host Ben Fordham.

"Recruitment opening up to crew who took voluntary redundancies or resigned," the post read.

The note to former staff said Qantas is ‘now back in profit and growing again’ after an ‘extremely challenging time’ for the aviation industry.

The message to ex-employees comes in the wake of multiple flight turnarounds for the Australian airliner, with a flight from Fiji to Sydney being forced to turn back mid-flight on January 23 due to a safety issue.

That flight was Qantas’ fifth turnaround in just one week, news.com.au reported.

Most recently, a flight from Darwin to Alice Springs was forced to turn back after an hour circling in the air for 'engineering reasons', as per the ABC.

But Qantas' recent string of failures is fine, apparently, because heaven forbid an airline would ever rally behind Australia's LGBTIQ+ community.
