Nick Cannon Shares Heartbreaking Tribute Post To His 'Little Dude' Following Tragic Death

Nick Cannon has shared an emotional tribute to his son, Zen, who passed away in December last year.

Cannon and Alyssa Scott's five-month-old son passed away from brain cancer just a few months ago, with the star taking to Instagram to make the heartbreaking announcement.

Now, the Wild 'N Out presenter has posted a picture of Zen with his siblings along with a heartfelt tribute.

Sharing the post to Instagram, Cannon wrote, 'still missing my little dude… His Spirit and brightness were soo strong #ZensLight “To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord”. 2Corinthians 5:8 The whole family, We ALL miss you young King! Forever Our Angel!'

The picture showed the star holding Zen, while his siblings cuddled each other. The snap features Cannon's eldest children - twins Monroe and Moroccan - who Cannon shares with his ex-wife Mariah Carey.

The picture also includes his two younger twins, seven-month-old Zion and Zillion, who Cannon shares with Abby De La Rosa.

Cannon is also father to a one-year-old daughter, Powerful Queen, and a four-year-old son, Golden, who he shares with Brittany Bell.

Fans were quick to share their support, with one user saying 'praying for your strength nick', while another added 'still praying for you. Thank you for sharing your light'.

Cannon has previously said it's his children who have helped him 'keep it together' following his son's tragic passing.

The star spoke to PEOPLE about his experience with grief and how he had to explain what had happened to his children.

'Having to explain that to 10 year olds and a four year old is pretty intense. But their understanding and them being there for me probably helped me keep it together as well as really deal with it. Specifically, even, Roc and Roe. They were there for the entire journey'.

He went on to say that his daughter, Monroe, had been particularly helpful, 'my daughter, really, she’s so in tune and in line and wise beyond her years. I got a lot of therapists, but she’s probably my best therapist'.

He went on to say the 10-year-old 'keeps me in check. She’s so pure and so honest. To be 10, she asks some really strong and powerful questions. Really, just it’s all out of love. She’s my oldest child. Even though they’re twins, she came out first and she lets everybody know it. She’s helped me keep it strong'.
