Kansas City Chiefs have won the 'best Super Bowl ever' after a 'stellar' game.

The Chiefs went up against the Philadelphia Eagles at Arizona's State Farm Stadium in the 57th Super Bowl today (12 February).

In what was once of the most tense games in recent memory, Patrick Mahomes overcame a niggling injury to lead his side to victory 38 to 35.

Both sides have been praised for their performance, with many watching at home calling it one of the all-time great matches.

"Best Super Bowl halftime performance by an expectant mom!"

"An incredible game by two of the best quarterbacks in football," put a third. "7 combined touchdowns. This is what the #SuperBowl is about.

"The greatest event in the country."

While another added: "What a game! Best Super Bowl in years. Congratulations to the Chiefs, well played Eagles."

It wasn't all plain sailing for the Chiefs, though.

They went down early in the first quarter, and were 10 points behind the Eagles when they went into half time.

And despite Mahomes appearing to have injured his ankle, his side came out in the second half and put in a big performance.

After tying the match with a few minutes on the clock, Harrison Butker stepped up and kicked a 27-yard field goal with just eight seconds left to win the Super Bowl for the Chiefs.

As well as the quality on the pitch, eyes were also glued to the halftime show, with Rihanna taking to the stage in her long-awaited return.

RiRi took to the Super Bowl stage tonight (12 February) and treated the crowd to a medley of hits from her back catalogue.

After descending from a huge floating stage, the 34-year-old performed 'We Found Love', 'Diamonds', 'Rude Boy', 'Umbrella', and 'Work', to name just a few.

Fans watching back at home were blown away by the spectacle.

"Now THAT was a halftime show!! DAMN," said one.

"Everyone involved in the direction, choreography, staging, dancing, and construction deserves so much credit for that #SuperBowl HT show."

Rihanna also used the opportunity to announce that she was pregnant with her second child, showing off her bump.

A representative of the singer's confirmed the exciting news to the Hollywood Reporter.
