Joe Rogan Explains Why He Will Never Have Donald Trump On His Podcast

Joe Rogan has shared the reason he’s never had Donald Trump on his podcast and also revealed he’s had the opportunity to sit down with the former president ‘more than once’.

Rogan made the comments while touching upon President Joe Biden’s recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live during a new interview with scientist Lex Fridman.

When asked whether Trump could win 2024’s presidential race, Rogan replied: “Well he’s [Trump] running against a dead man. Biden shakes hands with people that aren’t even there when he gets off stage. I think he’s seeing ghosts. [Did you] see him on Jimmy Kimmel the other day? He was just rambling.”

He went on: “If he was anyone else - if he was a Republican, if that was Donald Trump doing that - every f*****g talk show would be screaming for him to be off the air.

Rogan then went on to explain that the reason he hasn’t had Trump on The Joe Rogan Experience is because he’s ‘not interested in helping him’.

Rogan told Fridman: “I’ve had the opportunity to have him on my show more than once, I’ve said no every time. I don’t want to help him. I’m not interested in helping him.”

Fridman then pointed out that Rogan has had similarly divisive figures on his podcast before, such as Kanye West, however Rogan was quick to note that Kanye is a musician and unlikely to have much political sway.

"Kanye’s an artist. Kanye doing well or not doing well doesn’t change the course of our country," Rogan added.

Rogan also said that the Trump era will be one of the ‘weirder’ historical moments for people to look back on.

“The Trump era is also going to be one of the weirder times,” he told Fridman. “When people look back historically about the division in this country, he’s such a polarising figure that so many people felt like they could abandon their own ethics and morals and principles just to attack him and anybody who supports him because he is an existential threat to democracy itself.”
