A gamer has taken to Reddit to explain how his gaming headphones likely saved his life.

In a thread set up to discuss Razer gaming products, user Enough_Dance_956 shared a picture of his gaming headphones – with a bullet indent in the top.

The user went on to explain how they had likely saved his life when a stray bullet came in through his window.

Sharing a picture of his bullet-damaged headphones and a hole in his window, the Reddit user captioned the post 'Razer saved my life'.

They explained: "Wednesday morning at 10:30am a stray bullet went through my window and hit the razer headphones on top of my head. if it wasn’t for the headphones made with good quality i would’ve been a dead kid at the age of 18. i couldn’t even imagine all the pain my family and friends would’ve been through [sic]."

They also said that they are 'trying to get a hold of someone at Razer to thank them with all my heart' – and we'd be doing the same, because those headphones are clearly made of sturdy stuff, with the user adding that 'at first I didn't even know what hit my head'.

People were quick to comment on the near-miss situation, saying: "Damn!! Talk about lucky... Freaking time to move mate. That area sounds terrible!"

Another user relayed a similar story they'd heard, writing: "Damn hope you're all good. Reminds me of a similar story from couple years ago, a stray bullet went through a wall and was stopped by the dude Elder scrolls Anthologies collection or something like that."

Even someone claiming to be from the Razer support team responded to the trending thread.

They wrote: "Your Razer fam is extremely glad to know that you're safe! Sent you a message so we can take care of your concern. Let's continue from there.

All the best, Ejohn M. RΛZΞR | Eeextra."

UNILAD has reached out to Razer for comment.

The Reddit user added that he's thankful for all the well-wishes and that he's trying to respond to all of the comments, but can't get to them all.

They also confirmed that Razer did reach out and urged: "MUCH LOVE GUYS STAY SAFE AND RESPECT YOUR PARENTS AND TELL THEM YOU LOVE THEM EVERY DAY."
