Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has revealed who he's currently planning to vote for in the 2024 US presidential election
The billionaire disclosed who he was 'leaning towards' for president during an online back and forth with Twitter account Tesla Owners Silicon Valley - a group that, according to their bio, follow the most 'notorious' Tesla owners in the world.
After revealing that he had voted for Mayra Flores for Texas' 34th congressional district this month, marking his first ever Republican vote, Elon was asked if he planned to vote Republican again in 2024.

Asked if he would consider voting Republican for the next presidential election, the 50-year-old tweeted: "tbd."
Pushing Musk for specifics, the Tesla fan account then asked him who he was 'leaning towards', to which he simply replied: "DeSantis."
Florida's Republican governor Ron DeSantis, 43, has not yet officially put himself in the running for the 2024 election, but is already a star contender for the Republican party.

Once an ally of Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis has beaten the former President in a number of recent polls, sparking heavy speculation that he could end up in the running.
Ron DeSantis has made a name for himself as a hardcore conservative in recent months, from the signing of his Don't Say Gay bill into law to his plot to ban young transgender people from accessing gender-affirming healthcare.

This coming November, DeSantis is up for reelection as the governor of Florida, with Democrat and former governor Charlie Crist shaping up to be his main competition.
Many have speculated that, while the 2022 election is DeSantis' current priority, his recent political moves are likely being made with the presidential race in mind.
Musk also informed followers that he was considering creating a 'Super Moderate Super PAC' that would support centrist candidates across all political parties.

He tweeted his plans after another supporter asked him if his political donations would be 'evenly spread out, as you do always'.
A Super PAC is a political action committee that can receive unlimited financial contributions to finance their political activity.
Having previously declared he would neither consider himself a Democrat or a Republican, Elon Musk told fans just last month that he planned on voting Republican in upcoming elections.

In a post to Twitter back in May, he announced: "In the past I voted Democrat, because they were (mostly) the kindness party.
"But they have become the party of division & hate, so I can no longer support them and will vote Republican. Now, watch their dirty tricks campaign against me unfold."
