A drag queen has died onstage while performing in Philadelphia.
Valencia Prime, 25, collapsed mid-performances and died on 12 September and Prime’s cause of death was listed as complications relating to heart disease.
Described as a ‘fixture on the Philly drag scene’, Prime’s death has led to an outpouring of support.
According to the New York Post, Prime, who billed herself as ‘Philadelphia’s Plus Size Dancing Diva’, was performing at the Tabu nightclub in Centre City when she collapsed.

In the wake of Prime’s death, the venue shared a statement on Instagram that read: “We mourn the loss of a very bright and rising star in the performance community and a person who was always full of life and positivity.
“We say goodbye to Valencia Prime, but we will not forget the light you brought to the stage.”
UNILAD has approached Tabu for comment.
Prime’s cause of death was listed by a Philadelphia medical examiner as heart disease and the manner was classified as natural causes.
In a Facebook post, one of Prime’s friends wrote: “[She] was a bright and beautiful star, [whose] selflessness and kindness had been felt from all those who came in contact with her.

“I mourn for my friend, but also for the loss the gay community has suffered. She was a pivotal influence.”
Taking to Twitter, Tabu nightclub confirmed a free memorial show will be hosted in Prime’s honour on Monday (19 September) and the venue noted that Prime’s mum will be in attendance.
A GoFundMe page has also been set up in the wake of Prime’s death, and so far, has raised more than $14,000 (£12,000) for her funeral costs.
Prime’s GoFundMe reads: “Dearest friends and family, it is with a heavy heart that we let you all know that our sweetest Valencia Prime has passed away peacefully.

“We would love for the community to help her mother and the rest of her family give her the proper memorial we know she deserves.”
It continued: “Some of you have reached out and asked how you can help us during these hard times. We want you all to know that your kindness and support is much appreciated and hasn’t gone unnoticed.
“As we navigate through these heartbreaking times, we kindly ask if you are able to, to donate funds towards the funeral service. Any donation can be sent to the go fund me that was created on behalf of and with the permission of her mother & family.”
