The pair of Mexican 'alien corpses' initially unveiled by scientists have been confirmed as 'not human' in recent developments.

Back in September, a rather unexpected discovery was made in the form of two ‘non-human’ corpses believed to be 1,000 years old.

The bodies were presented during a congressional hearing in Mexico City by journalist and ufologist Jaime Maussan, who claimed they had been analyzed by the Autonomous National University of Mexico (UNAM), where scientists established an age by extracting DNA and using radiocarbon dating.

Maussan, speaking under oath at the San Lazaro Legislative Congress, said: “These specimens are not part of our terrestrial evolution… These aren’t beings that were found after a UFO wreckage. They were found in diatom [algae] mines, and were later fossilised.”

The two mummified corpses were displayed in windowed boxes, having been retrieved from Cusco in Peru.

After footage of the bizarre specimens surfaced online, many people were left utterly baffled.

One person tweeted: “This is the peak of human curiosity. There is nothing more left to see.”

Someone else said: “Things are escalating pretty quickly. I guess the question on a lot of minds is: why now?”

While a third joked: “They took unboxing videos to a whole ‘nother level.”

Now, the mystery of these 'alien corpses' has taken yet another turn as Maussan has claimed 30 percent of their DNA is 'not from any known species'.

He also confirmed that they are 'definitely not human', providing more questions than answers with the discovery.

Maussan returned to congress this week with a number of researchers to confirm the 'aliens' are 'authentic'.

As per the Daily Star, Maussan said: "This is the first time extraterrestrial life has been presented in this manner.

"We have a clear example of non-human specimens unrelated to any known species on our planet. The public has the right to know about non-human technology and beings. This reality unites humanity rather than dividing us. We are not alone in this vast universe - we should embrace this truth."

He added: "These specimens do not belong to our terrestrial evolution. They were not creatures discovered after a UFO crash. Instead, they were found in diatom mines and later transformed into fossilised mummies."

Unlike the first time he went to congress, Maussan did not present any of his evidence for scrutiny.

Maussan has previously come under fire by the scientific community after making similar claims about bodies in Peru.

When the bodies were studied by the country’s prosecutor’s office, it found the bodies were actually 'recently manufactured dolls, which have been covered with a mixture of paper and synthetic glue to simulate the presence of skin'.
