Dad, 83, Who's Just Had Baby With Wife Says He’s Preparing Son For When He’s Not Around

Devoted father and nutrition expert Alberto Cormillot, 83, is teaching his son, Emilio, all the skills he'll need to get by after he's gone

An 83-year-old doctor who just had a baby with his 35-year-old wife says he's preparing his son for the worst.

Devoted father and nutrition expert Alberto Cormillot, 83, is teaching his son, Emilio, all the skills he'll need to get by after he's gone.

From hiring a private tutor to teach Mandarin to recording messages for when he's gone, Alberto is a hands-on dad.

While he and wife Estefania Pasquini were thrilled with the news that they were expecting following a round of fertility treatment, some pretty sobering facts started to settle in, with Alberto admitting: "I'm aware that life is not infinite. That little guy's here and I'm going to accompany him until a certain moment."

Alberto was diagnosed with colon cancer back in 2012 and while he said all traces were removed during surgery, he's aware of the limited time he'll have with his son.

So, he decided to plan for the future, which means recording his son messages to help him throughout his life.

"I record audio is all the time in the Senate or WhatsApp that he has.

The 83-year-old even recorded messages for Emilio.

"That means that although he still really a baby has a phone number with WhatsApp in which I record audio and send him videos. I don't over-dramatise things, I just record the reality of life."

While that's one of the most wholesome things we've ever heard, wait until you hear Alberto's outlook on his unconventional fatherhood.

"I plan to enjoy every day to the fullest and make plans that are more short-term, which means I enjoy every day as fully as I can," he said.

And they have plenty of fun, with Alberto encouraging the tot to crawl and the pair playing piano together.

Alberto also had two adult sons and three grandchildren.

The father also wants the young lad to learn about new cultures, saying of his son: "Emilio has a person who twice a week talks to him, sings to him, and plays for him in Chinese.

"As it is the language of the future, I want him to get used to hearing it as a child and he will find it easier to learn it better when he grows up."

Alberto went on to add: "I don't know if he will speak in Chinese in the future, but at least that's how we can incorporate it."

The devoted dad has two adult sons, Renee and Adrian, and three granddaughters. His first wife Monika Arborgast died in 2017.
