Rapper Melle Mel responds to Eminem's brutal dig by dropping a diss track

In the song, the Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five member icon refers to the hip hop pioneer as Pee-Wee Herman.

Melle Mel has responded to Eminem’s brutal comment with a diss track.

The rapper has finally clapped back at Ez Mil and Em’s song ‘The Realest’, in which the ‘Lose Yourself’ rapper accuses the Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five member of being on steroids.

As a result, Mel released his track simply titled ‘Melle Mel’s Response to Eminem’s Latest Diss’.

In the song, Mel refers to the hip hop pioneer as Pee-Wee Herman and advises him to respond to The Game, who took aim at Em in ‘The Black Slim Shady’.

"The Top five is cap/You the piss that's on the floor in the elevator of rap/Why you ducking on The Game when you shit on my name?" he raps.

"Why they put Pee-Wee Herman in the Hall of Fame? I would give you a pound, but I'd break your hand/I got a lawyer so white, he will take your land/Yo, check your man, come and look at your friend/'Cause I think that Eminem is popping pills again!"

But according to many, Mel missed the mark, as listeners believe the song fell flat.

It’s definitely no ‘Hit Em Up’, that’s for sure.

One user wrote: “I never thought it was possible to make a worse diss than Nick Cannon’s disses to Em. Today, I was proven wrong. Well done.”

Another said: “If I was EM I'd tweet out an apology to Melly Mel. Something like ‘I just threw a quick jab, but I had no idea he was going to do this to himself, I never intended for a legend to embarrass himself like this and I sincerely apologize’.”

While a third commented: “Damn, that was disappointing, was really hoping this would be worth Em replying to. Wanted this to bring us new music.”

The two rappers’ beef began earlier this year when Mel claimed that Eminem’s skin color earned him a top spot on Billboard & Vibe’s Top 50 greatest rappers list.

During an appearance on The Art of Dialogue podcast, the Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five icon was asked what he thought about Em's ranking.

While he noted that 'obviously he's a capable rapper', he said other factors were at play.

“So now, if Eminem was another ni**a like all the rest of us, would he be Top 5 on that list when a ni**a that could rhyme just as good as him is 35? That had records and all that? He’s 35. He’s white,” Mel said.

Eminem responded in a song called 'The Realest', where he said: "Hip Hop has been good to me, huh/ But when they say that I'm only Top 5 'cause I'm white, why would I be stunned?/ My skin color's still working against me/'Cause second, I should be, to none/Bein' white being why they put me at five (Nope)/That's why they can't put me at one."
