People are only just learning *NSYNC’s JC Chasez’s real name after he posted a photo from the VMAs, saying they had ‘no idea’ until now.
The boyband – comprising Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone and Lance Bass – haven't released music together since 2002, but reunited at the VMAs to present the Best Pop award earlier this week in New Jersey.
This came as huge delight to Taylor Swift, who couldn’t help but hide her excitement, having been seen jumping up from her seat, screaming and cheering for the band.
They even gave her a friendship bracelet – a nod to the tradition that’s fulfilled by fans during her Eras Tour shows.

And Swift admitted to being unable to contain her excitement as she collected the VMAs' Best Pop award (her first win of the night with a whopping eight nominations).
Wondering just what had prompted *NYSNC’s reunion, she said: “Are you doing something? What’s going to happen now?”
The ‘Bad Blood’ singer just couldn’t cope as she said to the crowd of music fans and celebrities: “They’re doing something and I need to know what it is.”
But while many people were fangirling over the reunion, others were a little distracted by a photo that *NSYNC’s JC Chasez posted.
He shared a snap of their all-access passes in a pile to show the gang were back together.
Many people pointed out that it was strange how Kirkpatrick, Fatone and Bass’ talent passes listed them as members of *NSYNC, while Chasez’s just said ‘Artist’.
As for Justin Timberlake? Well, his just said he was part of... Justin Timberlake.
But others noticed something even more enlightening – Chasez's real name.
“You’re telling me your name is JOSHUA,” one said.
Someone else wrote: “Dude... your name is Josh?! How did I not know this!”
A third said: “I'm sure this was very searchable information but I had no idea your first name was Joshua.”
And a fourth added: “Joshua... I can't believe I never knew that.”
Yep, JC Chasez' real full name is Joshua Scott Chasez - presumably the 'JC' part being the initials of his first name and surname.
Word on the street is that *NYSNC have new music set to come out soon.
Timberlake is of course the voice of Branch in the Trolls movies, and there’s speculation his old boyband will have something in the upcoming Trolls Band Together movie.
If it’s true, it’ll be their first release in over two decades.
