A former child star that you might remember has shown people on what he looks like now, and viewers are struggling to recognise him in this current form.

If you can’t remember MattyB or MattyB Raps – though they’re the same guy – you are most definitely not alone here.
Although the musician, who is now 19-years-old, had a large following back in the day, it turns out that a lot of that following hadn’t been paying close attention to what he was up to these days, and couldn’t believe what he looks like now after he shared a short update.
On TikTok, he posted a video that was just eight seconds long, bearing the caption: "I get older and start changing.”
Then, it read: "You say 'I want little mattyb back.'"

In total, the video has now been viewed nearly 13 million times, with 22,000 people bothering to comment.
Most of those who found the energy to comment were concerned with how different Matty looks these days.

A person who became famous as a child over a decade ago now looks different as an adult?

One said: "Excuse me, what. This is matty b???" while a second wrote: "AIN'T NO WAY THAT'S MATTY B."

In case you’ve come this far – like I have – without actually finding out who MattyB is, you’ve not missed out on a whole lot.
He shot to fame during the early 2010s, managing to build up 14.7 YouTube subscribers off the back of videos that showed the then-seven year old Matty rapping and singing.
In 2012, he even managed to break off the internet and into the Billboard Social 50 charts with his single ‘That’s The Way’.
He even carried it on into his teenage years, with singles as recently as 2015 receiving more than 245 million views.

OK, we did say that a lot of people actually do know who he is, didn’t we?
On TikTok, he’s got 1.9 million followers as well, under his real name Matt Morris, rather than the MattyB pseudonym.
He’s shared a few videos with reference to his past as MattyB, but this one has by far garnered the most reaction.

Speaking with Insider, Matty said: "A lot of older fans comment on how they miss little mattyb and how I look so different, so I thought it would be funny to make that reference,
"I think the surprise of me having a beard and longer hair makes people not recognize me as much, causing them to be shocked when they make the connection.”
He’s still making music, too.
Under the MattyBRaps name he released a single as recently as November 3, and he claims he’ll be releasing new original music on TikTok in future too.
