Chester Bennington's son drops his first ever single

Draven Bennington, the son of late Linkin Park singer Chester, has spoken about his father in a new Paramount+ docuseries

Chester Bennington’s son, Draven, has just released his first-ever single.

The son of the late Linkin Park singer has followed in his famous father’s footsteps with his debut track, 'F w/ Me'.

His new song will have even more significance as it also features in a documentary about the Total Request Live's biggest musicians, including his late father.

Available to stream on Paramount+, the docuseries Family Legacy delves deeper by exploring artists’ lives and most iconic moments through the eyes of their children.

This included Bennington, who appears in the first episode, called Dads Who Rock, with the 21-year-old reflecting on his childhood with the Linkin Park lead singer.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Bennington thanked filmmakers for asking him to join the project, saying that it was amazing to see the archival footage of his late dad.

Sharing the trailer with his 12,000 followers, he wrote: “I just want to take a minute to thank everyone on the team with @glassentertainmentgroup for bringing me this opportunity and being so lovely to work with! Everyone was so sweet and genuine, and getting to see all the vaulted videos of my dad was amazing!”

Continuing, he also expressed his gratitude to the producers for focusing on his late father’s music rather than his tragic suicide at the age of 41.

“It was so nice to get to share what I’m doing as well as talk about all of the amazing things that my dad did without focusing on the end!” he added, telling his fans: “Lets talk about the happy memories instead of soaking in sad ones!”

The musician and artist also praised the other ‘badass kids’ who appear in the documentary, saying that he loved hearing their interviews and was shocked by how similar they all were.

Bennington had even more chances to reminisce, as he follows in his father’s footsteps.

In fact, his new song, 'F w/ Me', was mixed by Jay Baumgardner – a former collaborator of his dad’s who worked with Chester during his Linkin Park days.

Bennington also worked with producer Manny the Drummer, with the pair releasing music under the joint stage name RVRND.

Although fans will have to wait until later this year to hear more from the duo, you can catch a snippet of their EP on the new docu-series.

If that still doesn’t isn’t enough, music fans can also hear incredible stories about TLC, Notorious B.I.G and Melissa Etheridge from their kids.
