Eminem has updated his list of the best rappers of all time

Who made the list?

Eminem has updated his list of the best rappers of all time, adding a few more names to the ranks.

Fans of the record-breaking rapper will know that he previously outlined his list in the 2002 track 'Till I Collapse', which goes as follows:

"I got a list, here's the order of my list that it's in / It goes: Reggie, Jay-Z, 2Pac and Biggie, André from OutKast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas, and then me."

Considering Eminem – real name Marshall Bruce Mathers III – is quite literally the number one selling rap artist in history, people are always interested to know who he respects most in the industry.

So when YouTuber No Life Shaq asked on Twitter who the greatest rapper of all time is, fans were excited to see Mathers' response.

The 50-year-old music artist wrote: "For me, in no particular order... Toss up between wayne, pac, royce, jay, redman, treach, g. rap, biggie & king crook...."

In a separate tweet, he said: "Plus redman, LL, nas, joyner, kendrick, cole, andre, rakim, kane..."

For the uninitiated, that's Lil Wayne, 2Pac, Royce Da 5'9", Jay-Z, Redman, Treach, Kool G Rap, Biggie and Kxng Crooked in the first post.

The second mentions LL Cool J, Nas, Joyner Lucas, Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, Andre 3000, Rakim and Big Daddy Kane.

Hundreds of people commented on Em's post, with one pointing out: "You gotta include yo self in there!"

"The guy didn't even include himself on the conversation," added another. "You the [goat emoji] @Eminem we don't need conversation for that.

"Hope you put out more music. You are keeping the Unique Hiphop culture alive. Godbless."

A third joked about the rapper's various personas, writing: "For me, in no particular order.. toss up between @Eminem, Marshall, b rabbit, slim shady or that white guy from d12."

Many of the comments were from people excited for No Life Shaq – it's not everyday one of the most well known rappers on the planet replies to your post.

"I would lose my s**t if he replied to me," said one. "This is so cool. Plus he mentions Treach! People always forget about NBN!"

A second said: "Damn this is amazing. You definitely deserve it brother. If Em ever tweeted at me I’d probably lose my f***ing mind."

Last month, one of Eminem's most iconic tunes turned 22 years old and fans joined in to celebrate the milestone.

'Stan' was released way back in May 23, 2000 - feel old yet? - and the song has massively influenced modern pop culture.

As well as telling a story of the rapper interacting with a crazed fan who becomes increasingly unhinged as the time goes on, the term 'Stan' has since become recognised by the internet as a definition for an overly obsessed fan.

The 'short' six-minute remastered version has a whopping 118 million views on YouTube and fans have been reminiscing about the classic track.

"It's still the one of the best songs ever made," one commented on the video.

"The greatest song Eminem has ever created," added a second. "A true testament to a classic, the dialogue, ambience, visuals, beat, and the impact this song has had on hiphop, modern day linguistics and even the birth of the popularisation of the word Stan is phenomenal. 10/10."
