Chris Brown is not a happy musician at the moment.

The singer was nominated for a Grammy Award at this year's ceremony and he thought he was a shoo in.

He was up against Mary J. Blige for Good Morning Gorgeous (Deluxe), Robert Glasper for Black Radio III, Lucky Daye for Candydrip and PJ Morton for Watch The Sun in the Best R&B Album category.

The gong was given to Glasper's record, which must have been a fantastic moment for him.

However, Brown was fuming and took to social media to hit out at the results.

He said in one Instagram story: "Bro who the f**k is this?" and "Who the f**k is Robert Glasper" in another post.

Brown admitted he needs to step his game up if he wants to win another Grammy and even suggested he might pick up the harmonica next time to diversify his skillset.

If you're wondering, Robert Glasper is an American pianist, record producer, songwriter, and musical arranger.

His win tonight at the 65th Grammys is his fifth win out of 11 nominations across eight categories.

While his focus has been predominantly in jazz, he's also worked with the likes of Mac Miller, Anderson .Paak, Banks, Brittany Howard, Kendrick Lamar, Denzel Curry, Q-Tip, Common and many other high profile names.

Black Radio III was his 11th studio album and was also nominated for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical at this year's Grammys.

Paste Magazine said about Black Radio III: "Ten years after breaking barriers with Black Radio, Glasper’s vision of jazz, hip-hop and R&B as mutually sustaining forms remains as vital and promising as ever."

Albumism added: "As preached on the record’s introduction, 'We don’t play music. We pray music'. If that doesn’t resonate immediately, just one listen will justify the hype. Glasper is who he is for a reason. He knows how to turn hearers into believers."

And Northern Transmissions wrote: "There’s not a single song on Black Radio III that suggests anything less than love for the process and exploration of themes, both from Glasper and his collaborators."

So, that should be enough information for Chris Brown to wrap his head around why he lost to Robert Glasper.

The Grammy Awards are well and truly underway at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

It's the music industry's night of nights and there will no doubt be plenty more shocks, surprises, thrills and spills yet to come.
