The 12-year-old musical prodigy who took the world by storm with her drumming is set to play with the Foo Fighters once more for a Taylor Hawkins tribute show.

Nandi Bushell first rose to fame after she impressed Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl with a video of her smashing a drum cover of their hit single 'Everlong'.

She shared the clip on Twitter while challenging the former Nirvana player to a drum-off, and he was totally game.

The pair embarked in a back-and-forth before Grohl made her dreams come true by inviting the young musician up to the stage to join the band at the Forum in Los Angeles last year.

After absolutely smashing her performance of Everlong, Nandi will once again join the Foo Fighters for the tribute show dedicated to their late drummer.

Hawkins tragically passed away earlier this year at age 50, a loss that reverberated throughout the music industry.

In memory of their bandmate and friend, the Foo Fighters have organised two special concerts in the UK and US in late September.

Nandi will be taking part in the London show at Wembley Stadium, and it's safe to say she's grateful to be involved.

Taking to Twitter to share the news, she wrote: "It will be the greatest privilege of my life to join Mr Grohl, Pat, Chris, Nate and Rami on stage at @wembleystadium in tribute to Mr Hawkins.

"Thank you for inviting me @foofighters #foofighters #TaylorHawkins #taylorhawkinstributeconcert #davegrohl."

After tickets went up for sale online, the band confirmed the shows will benefit charities in both the UK and US chosen by Hawkins' family.

Following the announcement of the gigs, the late drummer's wife Alison released a statement that said: "My deepest thanks and admiration go out to the global Foo Fighters community for the outpouring of love each and every one of you have shown our beloved Taylor.

"Taylor was honoured to be part of the Foo Fighters and valued his dream role in the band every minute of his 25 years with them.

"In celebration of his life, it is now up to all of us who loved him most to honour Taylor's legacy and the music he gave us."

A statement on the official website for the events, which will take place on September 3 at Wembley Stadium in London and September 27 at The Kia Forum in California, reads: "As one of the most respected and beloved figures in modern music, Taylor’s monolithic talent and magnetic personality endeared him to millions of fans, peers, friends and fellow musical legends the world over.

"Millions mourned his untimely passing on March 25, with passionate and sincere tributes coming from fans as well as musicians Taylor idolised.

"The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will unite several of those artists, the Hawkins family and of course his Foo Fighters brothers in celebration of Taylor’s memory and his legacy as a global rock icon – his bandmates and his inspirations playing the songs that he fell in love with, and the ones he brought to life."
