Actor breaks down in tears after discovering DMX died over a year ago while scrolling TikTok

Actor Stacey Dash has broken down in tears after she just found out actor and musician DMX died over a year ago.

An actor has posted an emotional video online to her reaction of the passing of American rapper and actor DMX, who died over a year ago.

DMX was pronounced dead on 9 April 2021 at the age of just 50 as he lost functionally in multiple essential organs.

It was confirmed in July that year the rapper died due to a cocaine-induced heart attack.

Clueless actor Stacey Dash said she was unaware DMX had passed away last April and was shocked when she realised the former actor had died. Watch her video below:

In Instagram post on 31 August, Dash said: "I was strolling through #tiktok and found a #DMX song that has saved me many times.

"Suddenly it says #RIP I know I am late, I did not know he passed away, he #OD I am heartbroken - he was such a great guy."

Stacey - who has previously been open about her past drug addiction - apologised to her followers that she was unaware of DMX's sudden death.

She said: "I didn't know DMX died; I didn't know (it was) from a cocaine overdose."

The actor then talked about her own fight against drug addiction and emotionally pleaded with the viewer not to lose to addiction.

Stacey Dash uploaded the emotional video to her Instagram and TikTok page.

Stacey added: "I am today, six years and one month clean and it breaks my heart. It breaks my heart that he lost to it. He lost. He lost to that demon of addiction. Please, please don't lose."

Fans have been reacting to Stacey's video on DMX's death in the comments with a mix of opinions.

One comment said: "Is this a joke?"

Another one added: "Delete this please."

However, Stacey did have some positive comments on her admission.

"You're inspiring me to continue trying to be fully sober fyi. No pressure literally but saying so because thank you for uplifting others by uplifting yourself," one comment said.

Another comment read: "Leave her alone. She has been very open about her pill addiction. Clearly, she's triggered by something and dealing with stuff. We love Stacey."

Stacey has been open about her own drug addiction in the past.

Stacey Dash opened up about her own drug addiction in an episode of Dr. Oz Show last October.

During the interview, Stacey said it got as bad as 'taking 18 to 20 pills a day' and admitted she first tried drugs when she was only eight years old.

Stacey also recalls when she attempted suicide at 17, but her life was saved as her friend rushed her to hospital.
