The Academy Awards is officially over for another year and what a show the 96th edition was.

While we didn't have the drama of previous years - aka Will Smith's and Chris Rock's infamous slapping incident - the 2024 Oscars was still full of fun.

Whether it was John Cena appearing naked on stage or Al Pacino's chaotic slip up - this year well and truly had it all.

Like every year, much of Hollywood's famous faces were in attendance at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (March 10), including Jamie Lee Curtis.

At last year's Oscars, Curtis scooped the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once.

The actor was up against the likes of Angela Bassett (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), Kerry Condon (The Banshees of Inisherin), Hong Chau (The Whale) and fellow co-star Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All At Once) for the award, but managed to come out on top.

And she was back this year to present the trophy for the category she'd won the year prior.

However, the Halloween star didn't stick round for very long.

Jamie Lee Curtis had somewhere important to be after her presenting gig at the Oscars.

I think we've all felt this but Curtis essentially decided to leave the ceremony early due to a fast food craving.

Taking to Instagram, the 65-year-old penned: "FLY IN [check emoji] GET FLUFFED AND FOLDED [check emoji] PRESENT AT OSCARS [check emoji] GO TO @inandout_burger [check emoji] FLY AWAY."

Alongside that, the actor also posted pics of her burger, fries and soda from the fast food chain that she had picked up from the drive-through.

We've all been there, Jamie!

And while the film star's presence at the Oscars may have been short lived, Curtis did make a bold statement on the red carpet with her outfit of choice.

Certainly a cheat meal...

Regular viewers of the Oscars will be well aware the red carpet and the outfits of the various A-list attendees present are as just as big as the main event itself.

And the Freaky Friday star certainly wowed those in-person and the many millions watching at home by donning a long-sleeved black gown by Dolce and Gabbana.

But it was also for a particular reason - which Curtis further elaborated on a post on Instagram.

Alongside a snap of her on the red carpet, Curtis penned: "I am wearing a gold cuff with a diamond encrusted replica of the Winged Victory of Samothrace.

Curtis chose her dress for a specific reason.

"The statue was worshiped in a temple built for her.

"Cathy Waterman first saw her at the top of the stairs at the Louvre when she was a teenager, and it did something remarkable for her in that moment.

"It showed her that there was a huge unknown world out there, and led her to a study of ancient history.

"What an inspiration she's been for Cathy and It's my great honor to wear her to the Oscars on my wrist!"
