Everyone rejoice — there's finally been a new, and incredibly exciting update, on Wednesday season two.

The hit Netflix show stars the incomparable Jenna Ortega as the princess of macabre herself Wednesday Addams.

While the first season dropped two years ago now, Wednesday swiftly became one of Netflix's best with audiences eagerly waiting for what's to come.

Although the release date for season two of Wednesday has yet to be confirmed, Entertainment Weekly (EW) exclusively reports that an exciting cast member is set to join the show next season.

Drum roll please… Ladies and gentlemen, Lady Gaga is starring alongside Ortega in Wednesday season two!

While details on Gaga's role, including its size, are still unknown, EW reports that she's currently filming the new season in Europe.

Gaga's casting should not come as a surprise to many as she's previously been linked to the show. When season one of Wednesday first premiered, clips of Ortega dancing on the show went viral after they were spliced together with Gaga's 2011 hit 'Bloody Mary'.

Ortega also previously spoke on Gaga potentially joining the show, telling Variety at the 2023 Golden Globes, "I'm sure Netflix would love that."

"I think Mrs. Thornhill [Christina Ricci's character on Wednesday] and Wednesday had this weird mentor relationship or kind of understood each other in a certain way, so, if Lady Gaga were to be a part, I think it would have to be two monsters that understand each other."

Since Gaga's casting news dropped, fans online seem to be particularly excited over what's to come.

"Gaga in a Tim Burton project is perfect," one fan wrote on Twitter. "Actress Gaga is still thriving as she should."

"We need her and Wednesday to have an iconic dance scene together," another added.

"Gaga x Tim Burton, we won," wrote another user.

This isn't Gaga's first time making an appearance on a TV show, as the pop star previously starred in the fifth season of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story.

Meanwhile, the most recent acting project Gaga was attached to was Joker: Folie à Deux released last month. The film was met with largely lackluster reviews from viewers and critics, with an extra on the film going so far as to call it 'the worst film ever made.'
