Fans call for Samantha Jones to have a spinoff series following her And Just Like That cameo

They said they would binge every episode of 'Jones in London' if it ever happened.

Kim Cattrall has finally returned to the Sex and the City universe after making a short cameo in the And Just Like That season two finale.

Samantha Jones appeared on the screen to wish Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) a happy 'final supper'.

Carrie was getting ready to say goodbye to her iconic New York City apartment and Samantha was going to surprise her by flying from London to the Big Apple.

However, it wasn't meant to be as her flight got delayed and wouldn't make it in time.

Kim's cameo only lasted a few seconds but it was enough to have diehard fans begging for more.

Cattrall famously wasn't included in the first season of the reboot.

In the opening episode it was made clear that Samantha had moved to London after having a fallout with Carrie because she was fired as her publicist.

Apart from that brief mention, And Just Like That has focused on the remaining trio of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte.

While some were hoping Kim would reveal she has signed onto the third season of the show, others had a different idea.

They said a spinoff series focusing on Samantha Jones in London would be incredible and allow her to do whatever she wanted.

One viewer said: "Would like to remind the world that Frasier was a character from Cheers who got his own spin-off living in a different city. There’s not a gay I know who wouldn’t mainline 7 straight seasons of Jones in London in one sitting."

To be honest, Jones in London sounds like a fabulous name for a TV show.

Another fan added: "Ok so we aren't getting a proper @KimCattrall return on #AndJustLikeThat but surely I can't be the only one that thinks a Samantha Jones in London spin off would be a must watch?"

A third wrote: "Can we now have a SATC spin off called Samantha Jones please. Drop the others and just have @KimCattrall strutting her stuff (in London)."

And Just Like That has been greenlit for a third season however Kim says she doesn't want to be a part of it.

“This is as far as I’m going to go. I don’t think I’ll ever say goodbye to Samantha," she revealed in June.

“She’s like a lot of other characters that I’ve done over the years. She gave me so much, and I’m so appreciative of her.”
