Adult entertainment star Angela White has revealed the one regret that she has about her career.

Angela made her debut in the adult entertainment industry when she was just 18-years-old.

Not only that, but the Australian had been making plans to start in the industry prior to that, claiming that she started researching as young as 14.

The star revealed that she had felt ostracised for expressing her sexuality, and that porn was the first place that she saw women with bodies like hers celebrated.

Speaking to news.com.au, she said: “This was back before plus size modelling was really a thing. Back then, if there was a curvy woman on television she was the butt of every joke.

"It was like seeing my body in a magazine surrounded by glitz and glamour."

Angela started in the adult entertainment industry when she was 18-years-old, and while she loves her job she revealed there was one thing that she would have done differently looking back.

This was less to do with the job itself as how it impacted her wider life.

Specifically, Angela said that she would approach having the discussion with her loved ones differently 'if I had to do it all over again'.

She added: “I think I was just excited and so adamant that this is what I wanted to do with my life that I just told people it’s what I was doing. There was no moment for comments, questions or concerns.”

In addition to her work, Angela also completed an honors degree in gender studies in 2010, writing her thesis about six female porn stars.

She wrote about a dichotomy in which women in porn are seen in a binary as either victims or empowered, when the reality is more complicated.

“It’s always black or white — you’re the hapless victim, or you’re an empowered freedom fighter," Angela explained. "And it’s just like, the world isn’t like that. It’s a spectrum."

She added: “There are people like me where this is the perfect job for me. I feel empowered when I do it. I’m creating a career doing something that I love.

"And then there are people that are just in the industry because you know they have a debt and they will pay that off.”

Angela went on to say that she has seen a positive shift in the industry, praising platforms such as OnlyFans which give performers greater control over what they're putting out there.
