I used one - the music genre category - and a whole slate of content I didn't even realize existed was unlocked. From heartfelt movies to fascinating TV series, it was refreshing to see something so different on my Netflix feed.

One suggestion in particular caught my eye; a mini-series with a flawless rating that tells the fictionalized story behind the birth and rise of Spotify.
Inspired by the non-fiction book Spotify Untold, the six-episode series follows entrepreneur Daniel Ek (Edvin Endre) and his business partner Martin Lorentzon (Christian Hillborg).

They must navigate a cutthroat music industry plagued by piracy, negotiate licensing deals with major labels and - somehow - convince investors to back their vision of free, legal music streaming.
Each episode unfolds from a different perspective, including programmers, lawyers, artists and industry executives, to show how Spotify revolutionized the way we listen to music.
The series in question is called The Playlist, and initially dropped on Netflix in October 2022.

The series has racked up a flawless 100 percent Rotten Tomatoes score from critics, while viewers rated it a solid 85 percent.
"The mini-series sets the bar high for all biographical dramas to come after it," one reviewer wrote. "Particularly because it captures the ills of the tech industry, the joy, the fallout, and the many many people that all go into one success..."
Meanwhile, one fan wrote: "Riveting enough to be a definite binge watcher. Great casting and authentic acting."
A second social media user agreed: "A 10/10 absolute binge worthy," adding: "The way they showed how the journey of each individual played into the plot was very impressive."
Over on IMDB, the series was scored 7.4 out of 10, as one person hailed it 'brilliant and relevant.'
Others were eager to praise the cast, as one said: "Edvin Endre, Christian Hillborg, Ulf Stenberg, Joel Lutzow, Gizem Erdogan, and the rest of the cast did a fantastic job in this miniseries."

Somebody else urged: "If you're a Netflix member, you should watch this miniseries sometime. It's a definite must see."
