Fans Think Lady Gaga Has Already Written Perfect Theme Song To Play Harley Quinn

It's one of her biggest hits and fans are clamouring to see it adapted for the star's reported role in the new Joker film.

Fans are already eagerly anticipating the prospect of Lady Gaga playing Harley Quinn in The Joker 2, and think they might've already found the perfect song for her to sing.

Following reports that the singer and actor was expected to play the role opposite Joaquin Phoenix's Joker, in a follow-up that may well apparently be a musical, fans have quickly started imagining what that might end up being like.

The good news for Warner Bros is that it doesn't sound like they need to do much work on writing tunes, should they actually be going down the musical direction.

This is because a lot of people on Twitter seem to think a simple adaption of one of Gaga's biggest hits would make for a great Harley Quinn theme song.

A sequel to The Joker is expected in the near future.

"Imagine Harley Quinn singing, Poker Face and saying 'Fu-fu-F**k her face" one user wrote in reaction to the news that the pop legend might be appearing in the film.

Someone else added: "Remember how lady gaga wrote 'poker face' as her experience of having sexy times with a man only to wish it was a woman instead the entire time

"Well imagine that with harley and POISON IVY".

A third went for the slightly less imaginative: "imagine they play poker face when Gaga comes on screen as Harley Quinn".

While another agreed, saying: "She should sing poker face as Harley".

As horrible as it is to believe, 'Poker Face' is now nearly 14 years old but remains one of the star's most-loved songs. The best-selling single of 2009 with over 9.5 million sales that year alone, it's one of the biggest-selling tracks of all-time with over 14.5 million sales.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the House of Gucci star is in discussions to play Harley Quinn, The Joker's psychiatrist at the Arkham Asylum psychiatric institute who falls in love with him and becomes his sidekick and partner in crime.

Lady Gaga is rumoured to be taking on the role of Harley Quinn in the upcoming sequel of the Joker.

It's believed that Gaga's version of Quinn would exist in a different DC universe than Margot Robbie's take on the character, though, who appeared as recently as last year in The Suicide Squad, as well as several other films.

Director Todd Phillips does have previous form with Lady Gaga too, having been the producer on romantic musical drama A Star Is Born which starred the singer alongside Bradley Cooper in 2018.

We'll see how long they keep poker-faced about it.
