Ryan Reynolds' wife Blake Lively might have just hinted at having a big part in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Hold on to your hats because one of the most pressing questions about the upcoming Deadpool film might have just been revealed.

Deadpool & Wolverine has been hotly anticipated by fans for quite a few reasons.

Firstly, we have got Hugh Jackman reprising his character Logan, a.k.a the man the myth and five foot three Canadian legend that is Wolverine.

Admittedly, I loved the send off in Logan, but who needs a sweet and heartwarming conclusion to a beloved character when there is money to be made.

Finally pairing Wolverine with Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool is likely to bring in the big bucks as the pair are quite the dynamic duo in the comics, with vastly different personalities, something that certainly is clear in the film’s trailers.

But with these trailers came a slew of questions from the fans trying to work out what exactly the plot is and how the story will take advantage of the multiverse trend and bring in alternate versions of characters.

One of those questions tied into who is Lady Deadpool, essentially a variant of the superhero with long blonde hair.

There were rumors that it was Taylor Swift, or maybe Reynolds in a gorgeous blonde wig, but another that has stuck around is the idea it is Reynolds' real-life wife Blake Lively.

Posting on Instagram on 22 July, it seemed Lively fanned the flames of the rumour sharing a picture of her kissing Reynolds while he is in full Deadpool makeup.

What is she doing on set? Is she just visiting her husband or does she have a cameo in the movie? Maybe Reddit sleuths were right all along and she is Lady Deadpool.

She captioned the picture: “Brb I’m buying milky pens to write your name on my hand @Vancityreynolds [Ryan Reynolds’ account].”

Lively went on to discuss how proud she was of the movie and of her husband, stating that ‘it’s hard not to encourage my ladies to spot all the ways we’ve influenced [Deadpool & Wolverine].’

Sharing some clips from the Deadpool franchise, she highlighted all the 4th wall breaking quips the anti-hero has and how many millennial women would likely pick up on them.

But in the comments section, many fans took this is as all but confirmation that she is playing Lady Deadpool.

“So does this confirm that Blake is Lady Deadpool? 'Cause I will take this as a YES!!" one fan wrote.

“Bro did I just get spoiled on Lady Deadpool," another commented.

“Choosing to be delusional and accept this as confirmation that you’re Lady Deadpool and I’m SO EXCITED," a third fan added.

Well, I'm not holding my breath till I see the film on July 25 and can confirm for myself, but still fun to wonder if she really did just give it away with this hint.
