'Ungrateful' teen says she 'would rather walk' than drive Tesla parents gifted her for 16th birthday

The teen's mom was left stunned over her daughter's reaction to the generous gift

A generous mom was left stunned by her teenage daughter after she said she would 'rather walk' than drive the shiny new Tesla she'd received for her birthday.

What's the best gift you've ever been given?

It might be as simple as a toy when you were a kid, or as extravagant as a car, but whatever it was, I hope you were grateful.

That's the opposite of what mom Neshie claimed her daughter was in the TikTok video shared earlier this year.

In the clip, Neshie explained that she planned to surprise her daughter with a Tesla for her Sweet 16.

The mom excitedly blindfolded her daughter before leading her outside, but the reaction she got was not what you might expect.

Rather than screaming with delight or even thanking her mom, the teen looked at the car and said: "I don't like Teslas."

The teen argued that she'd wanted a Mercedes Benz and encouraged her mom to take the car back because she didn't want a car that she had to 'charge to make it work'.

Not even a whopping $1,600 in cash was enough to satisfy the teen, and after handing back the key to the Tesla she stormed inside, leaving her mom on the driveway in shock.

It's hard to believe anyone would have such a reaction to being given a brand new car, let alone a Tesla, and many viewers were so stunned by the teenager that they refused to believe her reaction was real.

"This has to be a skit!!," one viewer wrote, while another added: "Please let this be a prank!!!"

Neshie hasn't confirmed whether or not her daughter was playing up for the camera, though it's worth noting that she chose to post the video despite saying she was 'embarrassed' about her daughter's behavior.

Regardless, the saga continued over the following days as the mom filmed her partner bringing home another new car for the teen, whose reaction had landed her with a more budget-friendly Chevrolet.

Needless to say, the teen wasn't happy with the replacement either.

"I'm not driving that," she said simply, before showing her disapproval by kicking the car.

Though her reaction to both cars would be enough to prompt some parents to give up altogether, Neshie kept viewers rapt as she then filmed her taking her daughter to the Mercedes Benz dealership to pick out her new car.

The car saga didn't end with the Tesla.

Wanting nothing but the best, the teen insisted that she needed a 2023 plate.

The mom continued to argue that the car had to be within budget, telling viewers: "Don't spoil your kids, cause these b****** is ungrateful."

In spite of her own advice, the mom agreed to buy her daughter a white Mercedes - though she described her as 'irritating as hell' in the process.

And TikTok users have been left stunned by the whole charade, with many questioning why Neshie obliged to her daughters' wishes, while others said she didn't 'deserve' to be disrespected.

However, some viewers have praised the mom for getting her daughter the car that she wanted, with one writing: "A big thing for me is how great of a mom she is for giving her child something."
