Plane passenger hits back after spotting man texting about sitting next to ‘huge black woman’

A plane passenger brutally shamed a 'racist' man after catching him send a text message complaint about sitting next to a ‘huge black woman’.

Content creator Taila Rouse filmed the incident - which took place during a four-hour flight from Puerto Rico to Atlanta - and shared it on TikTok.

"POV: You decided to confront the racist sitting next to you on your flight," reads the text overlay in her video, which has now been seen over 15 million times in just 4 days.

Taila also shared a clip of the man texting on his phone while zooming on the contents of his messages.

The man's texts read: "We are still in the gangway. Hopefully the airlines will continue to raise prices and weed out these people. Ryan is sitting next to a huge black woman."

Taking to TikTok, Taila explained the incident in her caption: "Sitting next to a racist on my four hour flight from Puerto Rico to Atlanta this week.

"Yes I could’ve minded my own business, but why should I let him slide?

"I happened to glance over and see the words 'big black woman' so I continued reading.

"He and his family went on and on about the woes of being stuck sitting next to Black and gay people.

"Then I see this man say he hopes airlines continue to raise prices so these people get weeded out.

"If you’re gonna be bold enough to pull your phone out in the middle seat of an airplane and freely talk disrespectfully about Black people, then I’m going to be bold enough to say something to you.

"What would you have done?"

In a follow-up clip, Taila was 'going back and forth' with herself on whether to speak up or not, however, viewers were 'beyond proud' that she did.

One person commented: "I’m proud of you and don’t even know you. I know the back and forth with yourself on this was hard and you did that!!"

A second added: "Call Them Out Every Time."

"That took courage! Sorry this happened to you!" a third said.

"I know your heart was beating saying this and honey…. But you stood up through it! Proud beyond proud," a fourth commented.

Someone else said: "Girl bravo! You are so damn brave. I would have probably cried but you handled this beautifully."
