Mom discovers son’s bride is actually her long-lost daughter on their wedding day

It was certainly an eventful wedding day

A mom was left in utter shock after discovering her son's bride was in fact her long-lost daughter on their wedding day.

I know, a lot of questions need to be answered here.

There are countless crazy wedding stories on the internet, but surely none are as outlandish as this one that occurred in Suzhou, Jiangsu province in China in March 2021.

The wedding celebrations were getting into full swing when the groom's mother noticed something that was about to turn her world upside down.

The bride, who was marrying the mom's son, had a birthmark that looked strangely familiar.

You see, the mom lost her daughter two decades ago, with various Chinese-media outlets reporting her child had a birthmark on her hand that looked identical to the bride.

The soon-to-be mother-in-law asked the bride's parents if they had adopted her as a child, which certainly shocked the bride's family as the adoption had been kept a secret.

When the family confirmed they found a baby girl by the roadside years ago and raised her as their own, the groom's mom reportedly burst out into tears.

The bride also started crying and apparently even described finding her birth mother as 'happier than the wedding day itself'.

But now you have the problem of the bride marrying her older brother, but it still did go ahead.

In another twist to this unbelievable story, it was reported the groom was in fact adopted by the mom.

She had searched for years for her missing daughter, but tragically had given up on ever finding her.

Since the couple were not biologically related, the wedding went ahead without any objections, despite initial concerns from the bide.

Perhaps the internet's most bizarre wedding story has gone viral once more after it became the hot topic of conversation on Reddit.

Many social media users flocked to the comments section of the post to express their thoughts on the story.

"The son and daughter are not biologically related so it’s all good, folks," one person wrote.

A second added: "So not just a daughter in law but also daughter. Crazy," while a third remarked: "I’m adopted from China, I have no clue who gave birth to me. I’ve always had a mild fear of dating a Chinese man because of the very slight chance he could be my blood relative."
