The Undertaker steps in to save wife from shark in shocking video

His wife called on the WWE star after spotting the shark nearby

The Undertaker stepped in to chase away a shark after his wife spotted one swimming nearby on a day out to the beach.

The WWE legend, whose real name is Mark Calaway, has been married to fellow pro-wrestler Michelle McCool-Calaway since 2010 and the loved-up couple have recently been enjoying a bit of downtime on vacation.

But while relaxing near the sea with a book, Michelle, 43, spotted what she thought was a shark and called on her husband to come to her rescue. You can see footage of the incident here:

Sharing a video on social media, Michelle praised her ‘protector’ husband, writing: “I was simply enjoying a book on the beach when this ‘vegetation’ looked a lot like a shark….. so I text hubby @undertaker kinda digging that last picture …A LOT #myprotector”.

In the clip, the shark - believed to be a nurse shark, which are harmless to humans - can be seen swimming around in the clear waters while 58-year-old Calaway - dressed all in black, of course - stands in the water watching over it.

Bikini-clad Michelle explains: “OK, I text my husband because… this guy right here. I just knew it was a shark. Look how close we are.”

In a second clip, the shark can be seen making a hasty retreat while the Undertaker stands defiantly in the water with his hands on his hips, seemingly ensuring the fish vacates the area pronto.

Holding the camera, Michelle comments: “Yep. OK. Guess I wasn’t big enough to scare him away but you are.”

I think he’s probably big enough to scare most animals/humans away, to be honest.

As you can imagine, the comments section soon filled up with wrestling fans who were pretty confident that they understood exactly why the shark had decided against tangling with Calaway, with one writing: “I think you forgot your husband is THE Undertaker lol. That shark wanted no smoke.”

He stood watch until the shark had left the area.

Another said: “Transformed from Jaws to Nemo soon as he saw Taker in his line of vision.”

A third commented: “The shark didn't want to go one on one with The Undertaker!”

While someone else said: “That shark didn’t want the smoke from your husband! Shark said ‘I wanna live today’.”

“It’s almost like the shark knew its fate and decided to swim off,” commented another fan.

A sixth person asked: "Is it illegal to tombstone a shark? Genuinely curious lol."
