Mark Zuckerberg explained why wears a gray t-shirt to work every day

Ever wondered why one of the world's richest people has a habit of wearing the same drip every single day?

Well, wonder no more as Facebook founder and multi-billionaire, Mark Zuckerberg, once opened up as to why he dons a simple gray t-shirt to work every day.

Zuckerberg, who made headlines after becoming one of the youngest billionaires in the world, clearly has a go-to ensemble which he seemingly throws on for most public events.

When asked what the reason behind his penchant for a simple gray tee - despite his hoard of wealth - many may have expected a somewhat playful response.

However, the 39-year-old issued a pretty serious answer to all those inquisitive fans attempting to crack the mystery behind his plain outfit choice.

During his first-ever public question and answer session back in 2014, Zuckerberg claimed his lack of flair in the wardrobe department allowed him to stay more focussed on his work life.

He explained: "I really want to clear my life to make it so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve this community."

Zuckerberg also clarified that he had 'multiple same shirts'.

The CEO went on: "I'm in this really lucky position, where I get to wake up every day and help serve more than a billion people."

Zuckerberg claimed he didn't want to waste time on 'silly or frivolous' things.

He revealed that even what may see like the most minute decision - like maybe choosing what to have for breakfast or what to wear each morning - could consume unnecessary energy.

And this is clearly something the tech mogul didn't want to waste time on.

"I feel like I'm not doing my job if I spend any of my energy on things that are silly or frivolous about my life," Zuckerberg added.

Now nearly a decade on from that Q&A session, it would appear that the Facebook founder is still very much so sticking to the simple, yet incredibly distinctive, wardrobe attire - seen in a gray button-up t-shirt in an Instagram post he uploaded just a few days ago.

However, by the looks of his Instagram, Zuckerberg has also branched out with some navy blue crew neck long-sleeves, beige boxy shirts, khaki sweatshirts and even a dusty pink marl knit number.

With that said, I'm sure we're all going to be associating Zuckerberg with his signature gray tee and jeans combo for a very long time now.
