Maura Higgins narrowly missed out on winning The Traitors season four and she certainly isn't a stranger to betrayal.
Maura Higgins rose to fame after appearing in the fifth season of ITV's Love Island, making it all the way to the final but probably most recognized for talking about her 'fanny flutters'.
And she's only gotten more iconic since, landing herself roles on Dancing on Ice, going on to become a TV host herself, and most recently, taking part in season four of The Traitors.
The treachery and betrayal involved in the show - particularly when Maura realized fellow finalist Rob Rausch had been a traitor all along - was nothing new for the Love Islander because she's not the most trusting anyway, particularly when it comes to men.
Advert
in an interview with Elite Daily, Higgins explained if she 'wasn't used to that kind of guy' then would've probably left The Traitors 'crying, storming out' and 'never speaking to him again'.
Alas, that's not quite the case.

Higgins has 'already got severe trust issues'. Why? She's been 'cheated on by the majority of [her] exes'.
"That's the reason I've been celibate for a whole year," she added.
Celibacy is the act of abstaining from sex. Some do it as a result of their religious beliefs. And others, whether it be Khloé Kardashian or now Higgins, do it as a result of negative past relationships and prioritising their own peace.
During her time on The Traitors, Higgins did get close to Rausch and it certainly caught viewers' attention.

However, ultimately, Rob turned out to be a traitor - on the show, not in real life.
Despite fans' beliefs, there wasn't anything more than a great friendship between the pair, which thankfully has continued given his deceit was simply part of the game.
Higgins explained: "He helped me so much throughout the show, in the missions and everything. But it was always just friendship.
"Even though in the castle, a lot of the cast were saying, ‘Oh, you guys should get together.’ It was never anything like that."
And he's certainly been helping her outside the show too, making good on his offer to buy Higgins a present after nabbing the top spot from her.
Higgins told him she's 'accept nothing less than a Birkin bag' and Rausch certainly delivered, brandishing a Hermès Togo Birkin 30 in front of Higgins when the pair appeared on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live.
Higgins swiftly resolved: "You're forgiven."
