Scarlett Johansson issues warning to fans after making 'stupid' mistake that left her with 'hole in face'

You might be secretly pleased to know that even Hollywood stars like Scarlett Johansson get pimples

While Scarlett Johansson may look like she was crafted by angels, she's actually just human like us.

And what do humans get? Pimples. And they usually come at a time that you least want them.

Johansson herself has admitted to getting pimples sometimes, so don't feel too bad if you currently have Mount Vesuvius forming at the end of your nose.

Like many of us do, we try our best to get rid of unwanted blemishes ASAP, possibly going against people's advice by doing so.

Johansson, for example, once tried getting a cortisone shot - a type of steroid injection - to get rid of one of her spots, and it's safe to say she regretted it.

Speaking to E! News, the 39-year-old Black Widow star said: "Never get a cortisone shot to get rid of a pimple. I was warned by a make-up artist about this years ago.

"She told me about an actress who had a big scene coming up but had a pimple she needed to get rid of. So, she went to the dermatologist to get a cortisone shot to get rid of it and it left a huge crater (which looked much worse)."

Despite the advice she received, Johansson still wanted to try the hack for herself.

As per the make-up artist's warning, it didn't go very well.

"Stupidly, I didn't follow this advice, and a year later got it done myself - and I can confirm it does leave a hole," the actress went on to admit.

"Avoid it if you can. I’ve managed to massage it away over time but it’s probably one of my biggest beauty regrets."

We've all been there!

Celebrities like Johansson will often take to Instagram or TikTok to share their beauty advice, but the Marriage Story star doesn't have any kinds of social media.

Once again being extremely relatable, Johansson said she doesn't have it because her 'ego is too fragile'.

"I'm like a delicate flower," she previously told The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast hosts.

Johansson went on the share: "I had Instagram once for three days and when I started realizing that I'd spent 20 minutes looking at somebody's Instagram page who worked for a friend of mine.

"I now know you have a pit bull and two daughters and you live in, like, Burbank. I was like, what? I just wasted 17 minutes of time.

"I now feel like I should move to California, get this specific dog, and change my life in all these ways."
