Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively reveal unique name for their fourth child

Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively have finally confirmed the name of their fourth child together.

The couple had been attending the New York premiere of Reynolds' new movie Deadpool and Wolverine when they made the announcement.

Reynolds and Lively have three other children together, and many had been waiting with baited breath to find out the name they have chosen for their fourth.

And when the big news finally dropped, it came in a manner that seemed surprisingly casual.

There wasn't some big moment where they purposely dedicated a moment to confirming their child's name.

Reynolds, 47, had taken to the stage as part of the proceedings for the film's premiere, and was giving a speech to the assembled audience.

And as part of that, he paid tribute to his family who were there.

“I want to start by saying thank you to my wife Blake, who is here,” he began.

“I want to thank my kids James, Inez, Betty, Olin, who are here."

And there it was, with the couple's fourth child being revealed as having the nordic name Olin - though the couple did not confirm the child's sex.

Reynolds continued: "I hope that, if I’m lucky, this moment will be the most traumatic thing — that is, the contents of this movie — that happens in your wondrous life.

“I love that my entire family is here."

Reynolds and Lively married in 2012, and confirmed the arrival of their fourth child in February 2023, but didn't share the new arrival's name.

As for the future, Reynolds has previously said he wants to have as many children 'as possible'.

He told E! News: “As many little heartbeats as possible, just running around, wrecking stuff in the house. I love it. Let’s have more."

Reynolds shared how he had been handling their growing brood, though he did include the caveat that he couldn't speak for Lively.

Speaking to ET Canada, he said: “You know, two to three [kids] was a huge jump.

“Three to four less so. I cannot speak for my wife, but it’s just from what I’ve observed."

The Deadpool star added: "But, we love it. You know, we would be idiots to do this again if we didn’t love it."

Deadpool and Wolverine stars Reynolds in his third outing as the character in a Deadpool movie, and sees Hugh Jackman once again reprising the role of Wolverine.
