Rihanna has been urged by some of her fans to change her newborn daughter's name.
A$AP Rocky and Rihanna have been dating since 2020, and have welcomed two sons, RZA, three, and Riot, two since then.
Last week, the celebrity couple announced they had welcomed their third child together, this time being a baby girl.
Rihanna shared a snap of her and the newborn on Wednesday (September 24) and confirmed that she had been born on September 13.

The singer also detailed her daughter’s unusual name, and many on the internet have worked out it's a sweet nod to some of the most important men in her life.

The newborn is named Rocki Irish Mayers, with many pointing out that because her father is A$AP Rocky, ‘Rocki’ is an apparent shoutout to the rapper, real name Rakim Mayers.
Meanwhile, the Irish part of the name seemingly pays homage to Rihanna’s father and his heritage, as he was of African, Irish, English and Scottish descent.

"She finally got her baby girl!" one person penned on social media, seemingly a fan of the unique name, while others praised Rihanna for her choice of name.
However, the internet is very much divided on the choice, with one even going as far as describing it as 'cruel' and urging Rihanna to change the name of her newborn daughter immediately.
"I’m sorry, I hate all her baby names," one person penned on Reddit, while a second added: "I also hate them, but I’m not sorry. They’re just bad."
While some people may not like the name, I'm sure Rihanna and A$AP are just happy to welcome a baby girl into their family after having two boys previously.

"I hope it's a girl. I really do. We're praying for a girl. Our first time, we wanted to know the sex of the baby. The second time, we didn't want to know," A$AP told Elle in a recent interview.
"Third time, we don't want to know until, you know. I feel like it's going to be a girl. This pregnancy is so different from the other two.
“You can tell from the experience. I hope it's a baby girl, man. I need that.”

Speaking about his relationship with Rihanna more generally, A$AP added: "We don't talk too much about work, because we deal with that all day, every day.
“When you come home, it's about family. It's about your relationship. It's about your household. It ain't about all that other s***.”
