Olivia Rodrigo has shown her support for reproductive rights after handing out Plan B and abortion helpline information to fans while playing her Missouri tour date.

The 21-year-old 'Good 4 U' singer gave out emergency contraception and condoms during her Missouri date of her 'Guts' world tour, sparking debate online.

The move seems to be the star following up on her word after she took to social media back in February to raise awareness for 'Fund4Good' - the singer's promise to support of community-based non-profits which offer reproductive freedom to women.

And she's clearly a woman of her word, with fans jumping to her defence with praise for handing out contraception in the state of Missouri specifically.

One fan took to X to write: "Got for myself! They had condoms and stickers too, absolutely amazing that this was offered.”

Rodrigo has openly spoke out over her disapproval with the overturning of Roe v Wade back in 2022 in the past.

With the overturn being granted, the Supreme Court decided that there is no constitutional right to abortion despite decades of federal protections for abortion access since 1973.

Fans praised the move.

In Missouri, where the singer handed out leaflets with information about getting help for terminations, abortion is completely banned aside from 'very limited exceptions including medical emergencies.'

After the news broke that the Roe v Wade overturn had been successful, Rodrigo told the Glastonbury crowd of her heartbreak over the decision, saying during her set: "I'm heartbroken over what happened in America yesterday.

“The Supreme Court decided to overturn Roe v Wade, which is the law that ensures a woman's right to a safe abortion, and other basic human rights. I'm devastated and terrified that so many women and so many girls are going to die because of this."

Many have praised the singer for her pro-choice activism, taking to X to share their admiration, with one posting: "wtff omg this is such a sweet gesture from olivia and her team."

Another agreed, writing: "We love seeing a celebrity who is actually dedicated to their cause and who doesn’t just repost stuff."

"Oh she’s SO real for this, another added.

However, some found the idea of handing out contraception to her young fans as 'odd', as one posted to social media: ""Olivia Rodrigo weird asf passing out plan B at shows."

Another agreed: "kinda weird but ok."

UNILAD has reached out to Rodrigo's representatives for comment.
