Mia Khalifa has made her feelings about the outbreak of war in the Middle East very clear.

The former adult film star took to X, formally known as Twitter, to seemingly celebrate Hamas' attack on Israel over the weekend.

Militants launched a bloody attack on parts of Israel, causing the deaths of hundreds of people.

Fighters paraglided into key targets as well as a techno music festival and opened fire on civilians.

Israel has since responded by launching a series of missile attacks on Gaza, causing hundreds more casualties.

Can someone please tell the freedom fighters in Palestine to flip their phones and film horizontal

It seems Khalifa was supportive of Hamas' attack and wrote on X: "Can someone please tell the freedom fighters in Palestine to flip their phones and film horizontal."

She added in another post: "I can’t believe the Zionist apartheid regime is being brought down by guerrilla fighters in fake Gucci shirts - the biopics of these moments better reflect that."

There was another post that read: "I just wanna make sure there’s 4k footage of my people breaking down the walls of the open air prison they’ve been forced out of their homes and into so we have good options for the history books that write about how how they freed themselves from apartheid."

The posts sparked a wave of backlash against Lebanese-American celebrity.

One user said: "This is probably the worst comment I’ve ever seen on any social platform."

Another added: "Are you mocking them or what?"

A third wrote: "You are pure evil...wow!"

The attack by Hamas is the largest and deadliest assault on Israel in decades, with at least 900 people confirmed to have been killed in Israel since the attack began.

An unconfirmed number of Israeli civilians have also been taken back to Gaza as hostages.

Israel's retaliatory airstrikes on Gaza has levelled whole streets to rubble.

At least 419 people have been killed in Gaza by the missile attacks and more than 2,000 have been wounded, according to Palestinian authorities.

The European Union's Commission has suspended all funding to Palestine until a review has been conducted of the Hamas attack.

Hamas is an Islamist militant group that has been in control of the Gaza Strip since the mid-2000s.

They won the most votes in a parliamentary election in 2006 and they have been designated terrorists by Israel, the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan and the European Union.

y Israel.

Hamas militants have been responsible for launching multiple attacks on Israel ever since and have vowed to destroy their enemy.

Mia Khalifa tried to separate Hamas from Palestine in another X post, where she said: "Hamas is not Palestine’s army, their actions do not reflect the Palestinian people.

"Hamas formed in 1987, 20 years AFTER the occupation, as a means of resistance to ethnic cleansing and apartheid.

"They are an extremist group calling on other extremist groups that also do not represent the masses of people."

However, she got a Community Note attached to the post, which said that recent polling suggests 47 per cent of people in Gaza support Hamas.
