Former adult film star Lana Rhoades said she wants all her old videos to be deleted

"I honestly tell people if I could go back I would give up everything"

Lana Rhoades has opened up about why she 'probably would have deleted' all her old adult film videos by now if she could.

The 27-year-old from Chicago, US, entered into the adult film industry at the age of 19.

Not even a year later, Rhoades - real name Amara Maple - left in pursuit of another career, however, her old adult film videos still remain on the internet for all to see.

In an interview with Too Hot To Handle star and YouTuber Harry Jowsey on his 'Tap In' podcast in June 2021, Rhoades explained that she'd moved to Los Angeles when she was 19 years old.

She was flown there to shoot adult films by an agent and was in the industry for 'eight months on and off' in 'four month increments' she tells Jowsey.

However, she then met a YouTuber and her eyes were opened to the world of influencing - the person she met making '$15,000 dollars to post a picture with a Jeep' on their Instagram.

"And I was like, 'Wow, I get paid $1,200 to do this disgusting sex scene, why the f**k am I doing this?'" Rhoades says.

And that's when she decided to leave the industry, but what does she think of her old videos she's left behind?

In growing her own Instagram and carving out a career as an influencer, unfortunately, that also led to Rhoades becoming 'number one on PornHub' - it became hard for her to fully escape her previous job role.

And the rush in traffic from her Instagram over to Pornhub didn't even financially benefit her either.

Rhoades explains: "So PornHub, a lot of the videos I have no rights under over or otherwise I probably would have deleted them all by now."

After being asked whether she regrets taking part in the videos, Rhoades resolves: "I do, I honestly tell people if I could go back I would give up everything to have my dignity and respect back and for people to not be able to see me in that way."

And it's not the first time Rhoades has negatively spoken out about her experiences of the adult film industry.

In 2022, she slammed the adult film industry as '100 percent fake' and accused those within it as treating actors like 'circus acts'.

She also added that she is 'pretty much asexual' and doesn't 'even like having sex'.
