It might be usual MMA practice for the fighters to get involved in a bit of pre-match verbal sparring, but for one fight the insults appear to have spread beyond that.
Lena the Plug has slammed MMA fighter Dillon Danis online after he began 'harassing' the fiancée of fellow MMA fighter and opponent Logan Paul, Nina Agdal. Lena, 32, took to Twitter to strike out at Danis, 29, following a series of comments he made about Agdal on social media.
The spat comes ahead of a match between Danis and Paul, who are set to face off against on 14 October.

But Lena weighed in after Danis decided not to go after his opponent, but instead go after his fiancée.
In an attempt to big up the fight, he posted a series of pictures of Agdal with her past partners, possibly in an attempt to goad Paul.
The exchange caught the attention of OnlyFans star Corinna Kopf, who responded with a sharp criticism of the MMA fighter.
She wrote: "I can’t be the only one who thinks Dillon Danis is corny as f*** for harassing the f*** out of a woman for absolutely no reason. Talk s*** to the person you’re fighting, not his fiancé.
"Also someone tell him to stop sending and unsending messages to me and my friends, you look so desperate my guy."
This then prompted Lena, who is the partner of MMA fighter Adam22, to weigh in on the argument when she replied to the tweet with a comment of her own.
She said: "You are definitely not the only one. Big loser energy."
Danis must have seen the reply, as he responded by posting an image from Lena's recent sex tape with porn actor Jason Luv, which Lena did not respond to.
Paul had previously built up a reputation for himself as a bad boy on the internet, including his YouTube channel, but has been changing his image since he met Agdal in 2022.
At present, it is not clear whether the fight between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis in October will be a professional match or an exhibition fight.
The fight will be the first one between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis. Danis, who is a native of New Jersey, had previously gone undefeated in his MMA fights in Bellator in 2018 and 2019.
The fight between them will not be an MMA fight, but will instead be in boxing.
