Kourtney Kardashian accuses reality family of only supporting each other in a 'superficial way'

The teaser clip for the next season of the family's reality show hinted at tensions boiling over behind-the-scenes.

Kourtney Kardashian-Barker has lashed out at her mega-famous family, accusing the Kardashian-Jenner clan of only lending each other support in a 'superficial way'.

The 44-year-old reality TV star slammed her family in an upcoming teaser clip for season three of The Kardashians, which will drop on Hulu on May 25.

Her younger sister Khloé Kardashian introduced the teaser clip on Good Morning America on May 16, as per Insider.

In the promotional clip, Kardashian-Barker unleashed over how her family handles itself in a crisis.

"We're all so good at like, lifting each other up when we're like, in a crisis," she told her sister Khloé in the clip.

"But in like, almost like a superficial way," the 44-year-old said.

"Like, I don't think we know how to like, be there for each other on like, a deeper level."

When Khloé expressed her shock at her older sister's claims, she was then pressed for a response.

"I think I do," Khloé replied.

It soon became clear that Khloé disagreed with her older sister, with a confessional following up the teaser clip.

In the promotional clip, Khloé made her feelings crystal clear.

"When there's something pretty traumatic or devastating in the family, I feel like we're all by that person's side," the 38-year-old said.

Kim Kardashian appeared on The Today Show on May 16 to spruik the upcoming season, telling host Savannah Guthrie just how hard things were behind-the-scenes.

"When we signed up for this, we wanted to always be super open and honest," the 42-year-old Skims founder said.

"There’s obviously different seasons where some people feel like they just have some boundaries and want to protect some things, and then other people really want to open up and share way more.”

Kardashian added she thinks she is 'blessed' to share her journey with her numerous siblings, even when things get tough.

"We can always respect each other’s space," she said.

"Out of filming Keeping Up With the Kardashians or The Kardashians, this season was probably my most emotional and frustrating internally with family that I haven’t really seen or experienced before."

This upcoming season will be packed with drama and clashes between Kardashian and her elder sister Kourtney.

When asked about the family beef, she explained: "We’ve been there before and we’ll always be OK. We’re always family … but I’m also proud that everyone’s really vulnerable because I’m sure so many other families have gone through similar things."

Season three of The Kardashians will drop on Hulu on May 25.
