Hilaria Baldwin says she and Alec Baldwin are 'still standing' despite Rust charge

He was recently charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Hilaria Baldwin says that she and her husband Alec Baldwin are 'still standing' despite his involuntary manslaughter charge.

The actor, 64, was charged in January of this year after cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins, 42, was accidentally shot and killed by a prop gun held by Baldwin on the set of Rust in October 2021.

Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who oversaw the use of weapons on set, was also formally charged with involuntary manslaughter over the incident.

But while the tragedy has had a profound effect on the actor's family, Hilaria, 39, said she is still standing by his side.

Taking to Instagram, she shared a throwback snap of the pair two days ago (12 February) that was taken about 'a yearish' after they met in February 2011.

"12 years ago, this night, we met. What a journey we have had been through, to, in, and around and continuing… every emotional place I don’t think either one of us could have ever predicted," she captioned the picture.

"But here we are… still standing, surrounded by all of you amazing humans, our tiny babes… and together."

She then wrote to her husband, who she shares seven children with, that she is 'in it with you' and emphasised that even through life's ups and downs, as long as they have each other, they will be 'never alone.'

Following the actor's involuntary manslaughter charge, both he and Gutierrez-Reed could face up to five years behind bars for Hutchins' death.

District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altwies had announced the decision to charge both Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed in January this year, saying in a statement: "After a thorough review of the evidence and the laws of the state of New Mexico, I have determined that there is sufficient evidence to file criminal charges against Alec Baldwin and other members of the Rust film crew.

"On my watch, no one is above the law, and everyone deserves justice."

However, Baldwin's attorney has said that they plan to 'fight these charges'.

"Mr Baldwin had no reason to believe there was a live bullet in the gun - or anywhere on the movie set," attorney Luke Nikas told Page Six in a statement.

"He relied on the professionals with whom he worked, who assured him the gun did not have live rounds."

Once it became known that Baldwin was going to be charged earlier this year, Hilaria described the ordeal as an 'emotional time' on her podcast, Witches Anonymous.

"It's been an emotional time for my family, and I do so want to express to you how grateful I am for your support and your kindness and your reason," she said.

"Quite honestly, I think without it, we would crumble, so thank you so much for being our rock right now because I don’t feel so strong."
