Britney Spears responds to Millie Bobby Brown saying she'd like to play her in biopic

Britney Spears has finally responded to the Stranger Things actor saying she wants to play her in a biopic.

Look, there are pop culture cross-overs and then there's the potential of Millie Bobby Brown playing Spears that instantly made our ears prick up.

Though, from the looks of her recent Instagram post, the Princess of Pop doesn't fancy a movie being made about her life anytime soon.

For those living under a rock this week, we'll fill you in...

So, we all know that Brown, 18, is a talented actor; she recently starred in Enola Homes 2 as the titular younger sister of Sherlock and Mycroft Holmes, and will eventually reprise her role as Eleven in the fifth and final series of Netflix’s sci-fi franchise Stranger Things.

But for her next gig, she’s said she would love to step into the shoes of a ‘real’ person, having named none other than the Princess of Pop as her dream character.

Brown appeared on a new episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, joining presenter Barrymore in the back of a taxi cab – or ‘Drewber’ - for an intimate interview.

The pair bonded over their shared experiences growing up in the limelight, as Barrymore asked her guest what was on her ‘bucket list’ acting-wise, whether this was for her next project or at some point in the next 10 years.

“I want to play a real person," Brown replied, before naming Britney Spears as her dream role.

“I think her story, first of all, resonates with me growing up in the public eye. Watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was younger. Same thing with you.

“I see the scramble for words [in the interviews] and I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way and hers only.”

Now, Spears has finally responded and she doesn't seem ready to sign on the dotted line, in fact, she seemed to shut the door on the idea of a movie about her life.

Taking to Instagram, Spears shared a picture of a pretty-looking door, with part of her caption reading: "I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life … dude I’m not dead !!! Although it’s pretty fucking clear they preferred me dead 🙄🙄🙄"

We'll take that as a no for now? To be fair to Spears, she only recently got out of her restrictive conservatorship so, we imagine a movie is the last thing on her mind.
