What is the phrase? F*** around and find out? Well, one Cybertruck owner certainly did.

Cybertrucks have been praised as the next step in car manufacturing by some, while others have insisted the vehicle designed by Elon Musk’s Tesla are less than up to standard in quality.

Many social media users have made scores of videos showing off its many features, whilst highlighting its perceived issues, since the car was released to the public in November of last year.

At the start of the year, many Cybertruck owners were trying the ‘carrot test’ to see if it passed their safety concerns.

The Cybertruck carrot test isn’t some new alternative fuel, but a way some owners have been checking if the front trunk of the car is dangerous.

Fears have arisen regarding whether people could actually lose fingers... so yeah, it might be worth checking if this is legit or not.

One brave (or stupid) owner decided rather than test it with a carrot, he would test it with his finger.

In a YouTube video uploaded May 5, user Joe Fay decided to put his body on the line and remained confident he would be A-Okay... he was mistaken.

“In my last video everybody kept saying that when the Tesla Cybertruck was coming down on my finger that I pushed up to make it open up and sense my finger but that’s just not true,” he said in the clip.

“And to prove that wrong I’m going to put my finger completely flat against the Cybertruck this time. I’m not going to hover it. I’ll put it completely flat and see if it crushes my finger because everybody is asking,”

In classic foreshadowing, he even tested it with a small stick first. The twig was quickly snapped and he added that he was hopeful his finger wouldn’t snap like that.

After his finger got trapped, he struggled to even hold the camera straight, and when he later showed it to the camera, he remarked he thinks he broke it as he was losing feeling in his finger.

Unsurprisingly, the comment’s section started roasting him for doing it to himself.

“This video contains not one, but two examples of extremely poor decisions this person has made in life,” one user wrote.

“This man had more faith in tesla than in common sense,” a second added.

“What was the point of testing with the stick if you were gonna do it anyways after it crushed the stick,” another commented.

“The stick completely snapped I wonder what it'll do to my finger. We live in the most advanced era with the dumbest people,” joked another.

Well, play stupid games, win stupid prizes I suppose. Hope he got his finger sorted.
