Donald Trump has admitted he would 'absolutely' consider bombing Iran again, while also giving the country's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, a clear message.

Trump launched an attack on Iran's key nuclear facilities last weekend, with the president declaring the mission a 'success' after it 'completely obliterated' the Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan nuclear sites in the Middle Eastern country.

Worries about the international fallout of the bombings grew following the attack, as Iran launched missiles at US military bases in both Qatar and Iraq.

The US-brokered ceasefire appears to still be in place, but that doesn’t mean tensions have calmed down in the Middle East.

Trump answered questions at the White House in front of the world's media on Friday (June 27), where the Iran-Israel conflict was top of the agenda.

A reporter asked the Republican president: "If the intelligence reports conclude that Iran can enrich uranium to a level that concerns you, would you consider bombing the country again?"

He responded: "Sure, without question, absolutely - it has to be unbelievable."

Trump added: "Can I tell you - they’re exhausted. And Israel’s exhausted too. And I dealt with both of them, and they both wanted it settled - both of them - and we did a great job. But they’re exhausted.

"The last thing they’re thinking about right now is nuclear. You know what they’re thinking of? They’re thinking about tomorrow, trying to live."

Trump also had a message for Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei in the wake of recent comments made about the US and Israel.

Khamenei has reportedly been hiding out in a bunker in the wake of ongoing tensions with Iran, the US, and Israel, but recently made a public announcement via social media.

The Supreme Leader claimed 'victory' over Israel and branded the US' attacks on the country's nuclear sites on June 21 as unsuccessful.

Earlier this week, he penned on Twitter: "My congratulations on our dear Iran’s victory over the US regime.

"The US regime entered the war directly because it felt that if it didn’t, the Zionist regime would be completely destroyed. It entered the war in an effort to save that regime but achieved nothing."

Trump has since encouraged the Iranian leader to 'tell the truth' after he declared 'victory' over Israel and the US.

"Look, you’re a man of great faith. A man who’s highly respected in this country," the president said at the press briefing.

"You have to tell the truth. You got beat to hell, and Israel was beat up, too. They were both beat up, and it was a great time to end it. It was quick."
