A mum was blown away when a tweet about how her nine-month-old baby looks like Woody Harrelson got a response from the man himself in the form of a poem.

Danielle Grier Mulvenna posted a cute photo of her laughing baby to Twitter, making the joke that little Cora bears a resemblance to actor Woody Harrelson.

Mulvenna said in the tweet: "Ok but how does our daughter look like Woody Harrelson."

However, she did not expect the post to gain hundreds of thousands of likes - and then for the award-winning actor to write a poem for her daughter.

With over 4980k likes and 26.6k retweets, Harrelson eventually came across the photo. He shared Mulvenna's photo and wrote an 'Ode to Cora' on Instagram.

He said: "You're an adorable child/ Flattered to be compared/ You have a wonderful smile/ I just wish I had your hair."

The thoughtful post from the American actor and father of four has garnered over 230k likes.

Mulvenna commented and said: "You’ve made our day. Can’t wait to show her this when she’s older, you have another fan for life xxx."

She added on her Twitter: "It's not every day Woody Harrelson writes your daughter a poem."

The Zombieland actor wrote his nine-month-old lookalike a poem.

Responding to her original tweet she shares another photo of nine-month-old Cora and added: "Cora says, thank you all so much for the likes and retweets and also that she doesn't always look like Woody Harrelson, it's just that when she does...she really really does xxx."

The Northern Irish mother told Today Parents that she only noticed the resemblance after a friend pointed it out to her.

She said: "Basically we never saw the resemblance until our friend Chris pointed it out at a BBQ. Then once we took that photo of her laughing it was undeniable."

She added she only thought the tweet would get a couple of likes from friends and family, but was 'blown away' by the response online.

People on Twitter have been quick to share their thoughts on Cora's similarities to the Zombieland actor.

"You win EVERYTHING. All the internet. Hands down, game over, we can all go home now. (also, she's adorable)," one person said.

Another said: "Omg she really does! A much much cuter Woody though but Woody nonetheless!"

"How can she look like Woody and yet be so beautiful," one Twitter user chimed.

Joking about her moment in the spotlight, Mulvenna said yesterday: "Wow, tweeting after a viral tweet is truly the difficult second album. Who am I? What's my tweeting style? Does anyone even care? (No)."
