A tattoo artist has taken to TikTok to reveal why people in her profession hate doing finger tattoos.
If you're indecisive like me, finger tattoos seem like a cute, low-commitment option.
However, it turns out that tattooists hate doing them, according to one tattoo artist on TikTok.

@keeksandkooks uses the video to explain why pretty much all finger tattoos are kind of a no-go, and I was devastated to hear it – I don't have any finger tattoos, but I was thinking about it.
The video starts with the TikToker playing the part of a customer coming into her work and asking for a 'kind of complicated design' that was rejected by 'every tattoo artist' in their area.
The TikToker then addresses why the customer was turned away, by giving 'the finger tattoo speech'.
So, buckle up and prepare for your hopes of cute Ariana Grande finger tats to be dashed.

She commences the speech by saying, 'These are Ariana Grande's finger tattoos; finger tattoos do not look great. Ariana Grande is one of the most successful pop artists in the world, she can afford a decent tattoo artist.'
So, as the TikToker goes on to explain, 'When you see people with really faded and really patchy, almost blue, finger tattoos, it's not a question of if the ink was cheap, or if the tattoo artist didn't do a good job.'
She then says that it's a 'hassle to stretch that skin' on fingers, which is necessary to get a detailed design, and explains that 'skin is constantly moving and constantly shedding and creating new cells, so healing is a nightmare'.

And here's the kicker: 'Even if a tattoo heals clean at first, it'll probably fade really nastily over time.' 'Basically, it's a lot of hassle for you and me for little to no pay off,' she concludes.
So, there you have it.
However, the tattoo artist is quick to remind the fictional customer that 'at the end of the day, I just want to make you feel better in your skin, not worse, but if you still really want to do it we can'.

To which the customer says, 'Hmmm, that makes sense, I still want the complicated design though.'
This, to be fair, would be my response – you know, if I actually had tattoos.
One commenter on TikTok shared these sentiments, saying, 'I want them. Especially faded.'
Don't we all?
