One woman who tried to get into a military base without the proper authorisation ended up finding out just what happens when you try to enter without permission.
If you've ever wondered what would happen if you tried to get inside a military base without being let in you can probably imagine they're not going to let you off lightly.
A few years back, several people who decided to break into Area 51 were warned that, even if it was meant to be a joke, if they tried to 'f**k around' they would face severe consequences.
All in all breaking into a military base just sounds like a really bad idea, one that's liable to get you shot or arrested for very little gain at all.

Not to mention it's a whole load of hard work just to get to a few tents and buildings (and super secret aliens) full of stuff you probably don't know how to use.
One woman who found out exactly what happens was Tati Gonzalez, who ended up getting caught as she tried to get into a military base last year.
She posted the footage of the incident to Facebook where it ended up going viral.

According to Stripes, Gonzalez was denied entry to the base after turning up with an invalid military dependent ID, along with an invalid driver's licence and vehicle registration.
Gonzalez claims she brought expired ID because she was told to as she went to pick up a set of belongings from her ex-spouse.
Master Sergeant Eric Harris, a spokesperson for Mountain Home Air Force base in Idaho, said she then tried to get away, driving at a security forces airman before stopping 'due to the perceived risk of serious bodily harm or injury'.
Gonzalez claims that she asked to be escorted off the base after one of the soldiers in the video was 'being weird', leading her to try and drive off.

It's at this point the footage kicks in, as she films troops outside her car ordering her to step out of the vehicle before smashing the window with a baton.
During the video, which she filmed on her phone, she continued to insist the matter was a civil one rather than criminal and said: 'I'm pregnant, don't f*****g touch me.'
Gonzalez ended the encounter handcuffed and was taken to a jail which the military base had a prior agreement with.

The woman says she was held illegally and released once the charges levelled against her 'didn't stick'.
So as it turns out, if you try to get onto a military base without authorisation they will arrest you and throw you in jail. Who knew?
