Woman in shock after discovering half-naked man in back of her car after driving 30 miles

He was found sleeping in the back of her car and was definitely not sober

A woman in Rhode Island set off on her usual drive to her workplace, only to later discover that there was a half-naked man in the back of her car.

Most of us would like to think that if we were driving in a car for over 30 miles, we’d be aware if there was someone else in the vehicle with us.

But one woman’s experience has proven this may not necessarily be the case.

An unnamed woman reported finding a ‘partially naked male’ on the floor of her car to a police station in Massachusetts yesterday (24 August).

She was driving from Providence, Rhode Island, on Monday to her job in Easton, Massachusetts.

Over the course of the journey she was seemingly oblivious to any signs of life in the rear of her car, as she was listening to a podcast throughout the drive.

It wasn’t until she arrived at her place of work that she found Jose Osorio, 21, in the back of the car.

Jose was reportedly 'extremely intoxicated', according to a police Facebook post.

It was later discovered 'he had consumed a large amount of alcohol and marijuana earlier in the evening', which explains his unusual decision-making process.

It turns out the man actually fell asleep on the rear floor of her car. So thankfully, he didn’t threaten or injure her in any way, he was just there to catch some Z’s – although I can't imagine he had the most refreshing sleep with that choice of mattress.

The police's Facebook post also said the woman left her home approximately one hour before making the call.

"It was apparent to the Officers that Osorio was extremely intoxicated and through an interpreter service, later learned that he had consumed a large amount of alcohol and marijuana earlier in the evening in Providence. At some point during his intoxicated state, Osorio entered the unlocked vehicle and fell asleep. While speaking with the victim, she told Officers that Osorio had not threatened her in any way and she had not been injured," the post continued.

The woman had apparently started her car ready to make her way to work, but briefly went back into her home. It was during this brief absence that police suspect Jose jumped into her car.

He was later found in the back of her car, sporting a pair of shorts around one leg, and a shirt wrapped around one arm.

It seems amid the excitement of his substance-filled night, he got legless and forgot about his other leg and arm altogether.

Jose has since been charged with breaking and entering a vehicle.
