President Donald Trump has agreed to send weapons to Ukraine, as he threatened to punish Russia with 'severe' tariffs if peace with Ukraine isn't agreed soon.
The POTUS said he would act against Russia with tariffs if there is not a deal to end the war in Ukraine within 50 days.
The Republican made the announcement during an Oval Office meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
"We're going to be doing secondary tariffs if we don't have a deal in 50 days," Trump said. "It's very simple, and they'll be at 100%."

He did not provide specifics on how the tariffs would be implemented.
"I use trade for a lot of things," Trump added.
"But it’s great for settling wars."

The 79-year-old also explained how the US would be supplying Ukraine weapons through NATO for the war raging between it and Russia. America will pay for them as well as distribute them.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said: "We hope for the leadership of the United States, because it is clear that Moscow will not stop unless its … ambitions are stopped by force."
