A dock in Alabama descended into chaos after a full brawl erupted, causing utter mayhem.

The shocking video shows a group of men attacking a dock worker after a confrontation between one of the men and the employee allegedly descended into a fight.

It was reported that the fight broke out after the employee requested that the people move their boat from the pier as a ferry service needed to dock there, but the group of boaters refused.

The confrontation escalated further, with multiple people becoming involved in the melee on the waterfront.

Since Sunday police in Montgomery have issued four active warrants following the brawl on Saturday. They have confirmed that more warrants are likely to be issued as they review video evidence posted on Twitter.

Mayor Steven Reed said in a statement: “Last night, the Montgomery Police Department acted swiftly to detain several reckless individuals for attacking a man who was doing his job.

“Warrants are being signed and justice will be served.”

He added: “As our police department investigates these intolerable actions, we should not become desensitised to violence of any kind in our community.

“Those who choose violence will be held accountable by our criminal justice system.”

The fight happened on Saturday at around 7.00pm. One witness claimed that a group of boaters had refused to move their pontoon boat to allow a Harriott II Riverboat to dock.

This meant that passengers on the boat were unable to disembark as a result.

An employee had been sent to untie the smaller boat, which had been moored there in the meantime. This would free up the space so that the larger craft could dock.

The group of boaters allegedly ganged up on the employee.

However, the boaters on the smaller craft refused to move their boat, and attacked the employee. What started between just two people quickly become a large group of people against the employee, who become obscured by the group of people surrounding him.

Things quickly descended into utter chaos.

Other crew members from the boat can be seen entering the fray. One person was hit with a chair during the fight, while a woman ended up being pushed into the water.

Photos posted on social media after the fight ended show a group of men sitting on the pontoon in handcuffs. Meanwhile, others were led away from the scene by police officers.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
