Two weeks have passed since little X AE A-XII stole hearts during a televised press conference in the Oval Office.

On February 11, Elon Musk brought his son in front of the cameras while talking politics alongside President Donald Trump in the White House, but the four-year-old's appearance on American screens was apparently never discussed with his mom, Grimes.

The 36-year-old singer said she was unaware that the preschooler was on national television, it was only after a Twitter user commented on how 'polite' X was, before mentioning Grimes and applauding her for the way she raised him, that it was brought to her attention.

"Lil X was very polite today!," they wrote. "You raised him well. He was so cute when he told DJT 'please forgive me, I need to pee'."

Bemused at why his 53-year-old dad had brought him into the limelight, the Canadian stressed: "He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I'm glad he was polite. Sigh."

Now, Grimes has expressed her concern that X's face has been plastered online during a conversation with Time magazine.

Reporter Andrew R. Chow asked: "There were a lot of reactions online when you tweeted about your son X’s appearance in the Oval Office. What was your reaction to that moment?"

Grimes replied: "It was like, 'Grimes slams,' 'Grimes speaks out.' It's like, OK, it was a reply. But I would really like people to stop posting images of my kid everywhere. I think fame is something you should consent to.

"Obviously, things will just be what they are. But I would really, really appreciate that. I can only ask, so I'm just asking."

Grimes and Musk began their relationship in 2018 and went on to welcome three children, X being the eldest, as well as Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus, before they went their separate ways.

However, in recent weeks it has become clear that there is some animosity between the pair - which may have came about after Grimes distanced herself from Musk, pointing out to followers that she is 'not him' after she got caught in the crossfire when Musk was accused of doing a 'Nazi salute' at a rally for Trump.

Taking to Twitter on Valentine's Day (February 14), she pleaded with Musk to get back to her regarding one of their children's 'medical crisis'.

"Plz respond about our child's medical crisis. I am sorry to do this publicly but it is no longer acceptable to ignore this situation. This requires immediate attention," she wrote.

"If you don't want to talk to me can you please designate or hire someone who can so that we can move forward on solving this. This is urgent, Elon."
