Couple stunned after spotting $15 ‘a**-hole’ charge on restaurant receipt

The rather rude receipt was uploaded to Reddit later on, with the couple giving a hilarious explanation.

With contactless cards, it’s easier than ever to spend without a second thought.

However, one couple were stunned after reading their receipt and found a $15 dollar a**hole charge after a meal out.

The couple were shocked when they re-read the receipt.

Whilst you might assume this is extremely bad customer service, they later explained the reason behind the charge in a hilarious post on Reddit.

Unsurprisingly, the receipt has gone semi-viral after the Oregon user uploaded it to the forum site.

Though it looks like a normal restaurant tab, as you look down the charges you’ll see $15 (£11.81) has been charged with it reading: “You’re an a**hole.”

Though most of us would be tempted to ask for the manager at this point, there was a reason behind the rude charge.

The hilarious receipt has gone viral on Reddit.

Hilariously, the Redditor later explained that this was the name of a tipple they’d treated themselves to on the night out.

“My wife and I went to a restaurant for her birthday and we both had cocktails,” the user explained.

The user added: “I completely forgot the name of the cocktail by the time the receipt came but its name was ‘You’re an a**hole, Mr. Burton.'”

Apparently, the unappetising name cocktail consists of gin, port, lime juice, honey, peach bitters and egg white with brown sugar drizzle – which presumably gives it the awkward name.

However, that wasn’t the only howler on the menu with another charge of $18 (£14.17) for a chicken t*t. (Yes, you read that right).

Whilst the dish does include chicken breast, it also has lettuce, Havarti cheese, tomato, basil and mustard aioli in a ciabatta bun – just in case the cocktail name didn’t make you lose your lunch.

Of course, the internet did what it does best and has been hilariously reacting to the inappropriately named dishes.

“Lol, it’s not an abbreviation. The item on the … menu is ‘the chicken tit,'” joked one Reddit in the comments.

Redditors have since found other rather rude items on the menu, which reportedly is from a restaurant in Oregon.

“The Caesar salad is named ‘et tu brute?’ I love it,” another added, laughing the awkward names off.

Meanwhile, a third excitedly wrote: “They also list ‘(bearded) clams’ on their menu, so this place seems to have a healthy bit of humor!” a third exclaimed.

Sadly though, we don't have the rest of the menu to see what other rude names the restaurant has on it's menu.
